This is a story of a guy who is trying to turn his life around this summers.

Hi. I am Amit Srivastava 22 years old ,a college student.

Retrospect

I was a bright ,studious,a little popular child in High School.I made some excellent friends, fell in love with an amazing girl and had some pretty good times. After High School I decided to take a gap of one year to prepare for IIT exams(It's like preparing for SAT's for a year). I decided to go to Kota,Rajasthan ( a city famous for IIT coaching). Things were well in the beginning but then I was introduced to this video game DOTA . I started liking this game and soon began spending more and more time playing it.Before I knew I was addicted to this game and I started skipping classes to sit in the cafe for 8 to 10 hours.I became a game addict and my gap year(2009-2010) was ruined. I joined a college after that (August 2010) only to skip classes, sleep till noon and play video games. My teachers bullied me and my result was also very poor so I decided to quit wasting another year of my life.
I came back to my hometown Lucknow and joined another college (August 2011). I was in depression because of the two lost year and I found the college horrific. I decided to stay with my parents so that they can keep a check on me. After a year I was denied to change my engineering major (from EEE to CS) which led to chronic stress, depression. I had developed a few other problems like laziness ,lack of concentration, over thinking and obesity. I was extremely demotivated. Everyday seemed like a drag. They say time heals every wound and around the end of the second year(May 2013) of college, I identified and acknowledged these problems.
I realized the biggest flaw was that I didn't wanted to work.
